We are a hot start-up funded by First Round and looking to hire our first engineer. This is a great full time role with great pay, lots of equity and a terrific product and team.

What you'll do:


- Build and design backend mobile web service
- Develop API used in all Pocket Change games
- Define engineering culture and standards
- Help build out tech team
- Setup and troubleshoot Heroku/AWS services
- Help build Android and iOS mobile clients
- Implement metrics and fraud detection system


Required Skills:


- 2-5 years of Software Engineering in a production environment
- Experience with at least one interpreted language (Ruby, Python, Perl, etc) and one compiled language (Java, C/C++, Objective C, etc)
- Familiarity with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, etc)
- A proven track record of building complex systems


Desirable:
- CS degree
- 1-2 years working with Ruby On Rails
- Strong Unix skills
