As a member of an agile product team, you will participate in the design and implementation of the core data architecture in support of the SaaS platform.

The ideal candidate will be proficient and proven in the design and implementation of multi-tenant data platform architecture and the selection and use of leading, industry standard, and emerging technologies. You will bring your battle proven experience in data architecture of a SaaS or Ad targeting platform to the team.



You will serve as the lead technical resource in the planning of data models and database structural design and development. You will oversee and directly contribute to the design, evaluation, selection, implementation and support of major databases and metadata structures.



Working in an agile environment, you will collaborate with product managers, peer software engineers, QA engineers, and data center operations engineers.



At least 8 years commercial experience as a hands-on contributing data architect, database architect or lead data platform engineer
Solid application, OLTP, and OLAP data modeling experience and expert in at least one
Previous experience working with very large data sets
Experience in the design and implementation of a data platform that includes customer and partner data integration
Very strong SQL skills and experience in an Oracle environment
Proficient in server side development in Java, Python, or Scala
Implementation experience building multi-tenant reporting, data warehousing, and analytics
Either Enterprise SaaS, Consumer or ad targeting platform experience
Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
Self-starter that is results focused with the ability to work independently and in teams
Ability to balance tactical delivery with strategic vision where necessary to advance towards business-driven, time-critical objectives.
Proven track record of producing high quality software against plans and schedules that are being met consistently
B.S. in Computer Science or other relevant technical field

HIGHLY DESIRED EXPERIENCE IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

Direct experience with Map-reduce programming, Hadoop, and Hive
Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB
Strong knowledge of all Data Warehouse-related components (Sourcing, ETL, Data Modeling, Infrastructure, BI, Reporting) and multiple tools to support those components.
Previous experience as a DBA
Familiarity and experience with agile development process
Experience in both small and large companies
